Turbine Fuel Nozzle Testing
At Advanced Combustion Technology we test, tune and repair your turbine fuel nozzles to ensure efficient running, lower emissions, lower thermal stress, longer life and lower repair and operating costs. The work generated by a turbine starts with fuel delivery, ignition and combustion. The critical components of that system are sometimes overshadowed by your turbine's larger, more visible parts. Advanced Combustion Technology realizes that and has made the investment in fuel nozzle testing which will pay dividends every minute your turbine is running.
Our Flow System test station, or airflow test system, uses a critical flow venturi manifold to set and measure airflow rates through the units under test. This test measures flow passage effective area, reduced mass flow, flow function, flow function referenced to ambient conditions, corrected mass flow and pressure ratio. Each test type has a controlled variable and a response variable providing precise data, documenting the performance of each nozzle.
Our experienced engineers and technicians then use this data to tune the fuel nozzles and minimize both nozzle-to-nozzle variation and internal nozzle circuit variation, typically to less than 3%. If your requirements are more stringent, just let us know; we have demonstrated success in tighter tolerances and will meet your needs.
At Advanced Combustion Technology, we will repair and flow test your fuel nozzles utilizing our new Flow Systems test bench. If you'd like to see the Advantage Combustion Technology difference in your Fuel Nozzle temperature spreads, contact us or stop by our facility in Houston, TX. Advanced Combustion Technology's dedication to service and quality has been repeatedly proven to be superior. Check out the Flow Systems specs for more information on our testing procedures.
