The Advanced Combustion Technology headquarters is a world-class facility. We have designed over 50,000 plus square foot facilities overlooking Houston's Hobby airport from the ground up and equipped them with state-of-the-art gas turbine component repair and rejuvenation equipment. Every station is strategically designed to speed turnaround. Our air-conditioned facilities and high-bays include advanced metallurgical and dimensional integrity laboratories, extensive stocking, shipping and receiving areas, and a customer conference and witness room.
Thirty-ton overhead cranes serve our comprehensive in-house machining requirements, complementing our lathes and horizontal and vertical boring mills. A.C.T. operates more than twenty atmospheric welding chambers, fitted with Miller Syncrowave® 350 welders to ensure extreme precision. We have a full spectrum of component cleaning facilities that include two walk-in grit rooms, special vapor degreasing vats and an on-site chemical stripping facility. Three turbo-cooled heavy-duty vacuum furnaces effortlessly handle the proper preparations for component rejuvenation.
When a component enters our plant, it is immediately identified and sent to our R&D Metallurgical Analysis Lab for meticulous inspection and in-depth evaluation. Our on-staff Registered Professional Engineers examine its history, and perform the NDE and dimensional integrity testing and life assessment analysis that are crucial to creating an accurate and effective repair solution.
Then, as each component moves through the plant, its photo-documented history travels with it. These procedures effortlessly accommodate stringent industry standards – ASME, ISO 900, and ANSI nuclear – as well as the most demanding customer requirements. Meticulous processes and procedures, combined with the skilled craftsmanship of experienced team specialists, guarantee the accuracy that is intrinsic to dependable performance.
